The worst thing about a good time, is that at some point it must end. And then we end up feeling like shit.
HeHe.
Seriously though, We foresee that the good time will end. Sometimes we know the exact day and the exact hour of the day, yet we invest so much of our leisure time planning for those good moments. See its one of two things:
1) We are masochists.
2)Our marginal benefit from the good times exceeds our marginal costs stemming from the shitty feeling that follows.
I do not know about you, but I fall into category 2.
I had fought with boyfriend and stopped talking to him for a whole week. And I was never able to not talk to him (or at least call and yell my lungs out) at least 10 hours after the fight. But I meant it that time, I did not talk to him, He did not talk to me. Finally, he caved (Never , Ever, and I mean EVER Happened). It was actually the first time I was 80% sure he has feelings(not for me but in general). So, as a result of the great make up, I decided to go visit him for the long weekend. BIG MISTAKE.
But you know what? Its ok, My marginal benefit exceeded my Marginal Cost. And In Economics, That is good baby !
